The Renewable Heat Incentive was a UK Government scheme aiming to encourage uptake of renewable heat technologies amongst householders, communities and businesses through financial incentives, and increase heating coming from renewable sources.
The domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) closed to new applications on 31 March 2022 making way for Heat as a Service an exiting way of funding heat pump installation.

E.ON announce Heatio as its project partner for the BEIS-funded Heat Pump Ready Programme.
This exciting project will run from July 22 to December 22; during this period, Heatio and E.ON will be working alongside Newcastle City Council and Northern Powergrid to develop the UK’s first Heat as a Service finance solution, which will initially be rolled out in homes across the Newcastle region.
